Meditation That Filters the Noise: The Yoga Nidra Series
What if you could experience less chatter in the mind and more direction from the heart?
Whether it’s relationships, responsibilities, or the state of the world, life has no shortage of stress, frustration, and fear. But through these challenges, it’s possible to feel peace and develop resilience by connecting with who we truly are, aligning with what’s important to us, and living with purpose.
In this five-week series, you’ll learn how to use guided meditation as a tool to pay attention to both the body and breath, process feelings and emotions, and cultivate joy. The method we’ll use is iRest® Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation. This evidence-based, mind-body approach is the result of 30 years of observation, research, and hands-on development by Dr. Richard Miller and associates.
People who practice iRest® report:
- Greater ability to relax and enjoy life
- Increased inner peace and well-being
- Reduced insomnia and levels of stress
- Reduced depression, fear and anxiety
- Improved interpersonal relations
- Reduced chronic and acute pain
- Calm
- Settled
- Light
- Balanced
- Rested
- Content
- Relaxed
- Whole
iRest is simple and powerful.
Learn the core concepts of iRest yoga nidra, and experience them for yourself in this five-week series. Each 90-minute session includes content, discussion, time to journal and process the material, and a full practice. You’ll also have access to an online community group, recordings, and additional resources. This series is a supportive way to start a meditation practice and to fill your toolbox with easy-to-implement tools for handling everyday life.
Week 1: Set the foundation
Week 2: Body & breath sensing
Week 3: Explore opposites of feelings and emotions
Week 4: Explore opposites of belief (thoughts, images, memories)
Week 5: Essential nature, joy, & awareness
By the end of our time together, you’ll learn how to rest. You’ll challenge old beliefs about who you are and what you can do. You’ll be able to better regulate your energy and emotions and meet each day’s challenges.
Stay tuned for the summer session.

Hi, I'm Jen Wilking—a physical therapist, yoga therapist, and experienced yoga and meditation teacher. A student and teacher at heart, my mission is to share beneficial practices that are backed by science and rooted in yoga. Yoga nidra, in particular, has had a profound effect on my life, ushering me through times of stress, pain, and loss. Even more than that, it's a toolbox of practices for everyday resilience.
I hope you'll join me on this journey to experiencing a deep and abiding sense of peace and meeting challenges as they come through this powerful practice. I would be honored to be your guide.
Testimonials
I loved having this 2h every week to catch up with the group, even if only virtually. Being able to compare experiences, thoughts and everything in between was really valuable. Regardless of your age and experience, you will find your spot in the group. Plus even a different time zone is not a problem. I was joining everyone at 4:30 PM from London, UK. Being a busy mum of two, self care is a must. Not just bubble baths and face masks but a quality time to stop, pause and allow myself to just be still. To breathe, to let my body and brain fully relax.
Even if you’re not into meditation (yet 😉), having a legitimate reason to have a 20 minute nap during your day is truly transformative. It’s not called a yogic sleep without a reason after all! Without any childcare in place, my children got to watch a film in return for my alone time. Win, win!
Give yourself the gift of simply being here and now, without any expectations or judgment. And see what happens.
Thank you, Jen. Truly grateful.
I loved these sessions for a number of reasons. IRest is evidenced based and in the course, Jen takes you through specific concrete steps each week in order to work towards finding and connecting to your inner most desires and sense of purpose. She ended each week with a lovely iRest Nidra practice that left me feeling relaxed, peaceful and a sense of gratitude, even in these difficult times. I found my sleep improved and anxiety decreased. I felt I could access more hope and sense of possibility. With the many resources Jen gave us , I have found I am able to find a more consistent practice. Jen’s knowledge, content, teaching style and recorded Nidra practices gives you all of the tools needed to access a meditation practice. Best of all, Jen’s ability to share all of these tools with a kind, giving and authentic presence is what makes this course so valuable to me. I highly recommend this course, especially if you have had difficulty maintaining a meditation practice.
The yoga Nidra course provided me with a deep sense of calm & clarity, a toolbox fool of tools to help me return to my inner resource, despite external circumstances. It also provided a weekly dose of self-love and self-care that helped me better show up in life for myself and for others. Yoga Nidra is the most medicinal form of yoga I have ever practiced.
